Yiayia's Place

Welcome to Yiayia's Place, a traditional Cycladic house in the heart of Chora, Folegandros. With two separate entrances leading onto different lanes of the village, the house offers direct access to cafés, restaurants, local shops, the traditional Kastro (Castle) and the Panagia monastery with its unique island views. Set in a quiet spot in Chora yet close to everything, it's ideal for travelers who want to experience the island's authentic everyday life.

The place

The house is made up of two spacious rooms. The bedroom includes a semi-double bed (2 m × 1.15 m) and a bunk bed suitable for extra guests or children. The living and dining area has a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for simple meals and relaxed evenings at home.

The bathroom was recently renovated and is just outside the bedroom area, only two steps away. Although it isn't internally connected to the bedroom, it remains private and easily accessible.

The house combines the authentic atmosphere of a traditional Cycladic home with practical modern comforts.

Getting around the neighborhood

As a traditional Cycladic house, the property has 2 entrances/exits and therefore belongs to 2 neighborhoods in the centre of Chora. This gives you direct access to shops, restaurants and picturesque spots.

Getting around

Vehicles are not allowed in the centre of Chora. However, within a 4-5 minute walk you'll find the municipality's free open-air parking, as well as the bus and taxi stop.
